What do you do when you live above a crazy neighbor who has an obvious drug abuse and mental issues?

she falls asleep naked on the couch with hall door open, tells stories about former drug abuse, jail time, robbing stores, pushing her cats around at 3 am in a shopping cart, talks to herself, runs garbage disposal 20 min straight, ohhh i could go on. when do u think its time to worry about your own safety and who do u contact privately not to create any personal issues or what not. i feel she could be unstable and possibly a threat to myself my boyfriend and also herself.

I used to live above a drug dealer / addict. Sometimes I see detectives knocking on his door.
I was 13 years old, my mommy told me to stay away from him and that’s what I did =D
But anyways just stay away from her and I’m sure you’ll be fine.
a gun is always handy in self defense (and self defense only)
If she is a drug addict, who knows what kind of friends she has, or who she owes money to, etc. etc.
Mind your own business and move if you don’t like her, otherwise you probably will find yourself in a mess that could have been avoided. Sounds like she is a crack junky, you can’t help her, and any attempt to try and help her will piss her off. Any attempt to get rid of her will piss her off more. I’ve known a few crack junkies. Trust me, I’m giving you good advice. You can’t help someone that doesn’t want to be helped, and it doesn’t sound like she wants to be helped, it sounds like she is trying to weasel her way into your life through intimidation in order to rip you off to support her drug habit, and crack junkies will do anything to get their next fix, even kill their own mother or sell their own daughter on the street. Even if you contact someone privately, she will suspect you, and that is enough to send these demented souls on a revenge mission, they don’t need proof.
Nothing much you can do, even if you contact the police or social worker, what could they do for you really? You just have to move home yourself.
