    A film from the 70’s, “Go Ask Alice.” The true story of a teenager drug addict. The film is underscored by the Jefferson Airplane song “White Rabbit,” which makes the film that much more cool!

    Oh, and “Reefer Madness” as well!

    Best; “Christine F ” and “Panic in Needle Park” though it is dated. These arn’t Hollywood guff {When a Man Loves a Woman etc} so be prepared. There’s no pretty make-up and tousled hair in these.
    The worst has to “Leaving Las Vegas” – the MTV of Alcoholism, is enough to make ya want to start.

    Requiem For a Dream is my absolute favorite. It’s dreamlike quality is what makes it so realistic and intense, and the cinematography is amazing. I like Trainspotting too, and Blow was pretty good. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was amazing too, but If I remember, I think it had more to do with the experience of just being on drugs, and not really as much about dealing with addiction.

    1988 – Clean and Sober – Michael Keeton- was the best I have seen.

    Cannot even guess what could be the worse. I have not seen many that deal with addiction.

    Best: Requiem for a dream, definitely…Jennifer Connelly played a junky in it. Pulp Fiction is also awesome and has lots of drugs in it.
    Worst: Overuse of cocaine in Summer of Sam

    I really liked “Spun” Jonas Akurland is a brilliant director.Plus Britt. Murphy is so good too…”Taco is sick!” I also loved the fact that he made Deb. Harry (sp?) a rad Dyke!
