It seems as you are being treated for nicotine addiction by a professional as well as for hypertension. And you are 25 years old? Are you having heart problems as well? High blood pressure is a rather serious issue with severe complications. Imagine taking your garden hose and putting about twice the normal pressure of the water system. It strains the materials and may cause failures. Your blood vessels do something similar and specially your eyes depend a lot of blood pressure. Your statement that you “want to smoke” tells me a lot about your addiction and that you are still hooked. Holding a cigarette with your fingers can fill a lot of needs, usually both physical and mental. Perhaps, and I would suggest, you need therapy treatment to deal with the psychological aspects of addiction. Addiction can also be reflected with other behaviors that are impulsive, fulfill no need, and can cause personal and financial problems. My wife has similar issues in money, food, clothing, and shopping. She has been working on these issues one by one and it has not been easy, has cost a lot of money and strain in our marriage. You are so young and have so much to look forward to that I highly encourage you to work deeper with a higher rate of commitment to this issue. OK? I have had relatives die early from both drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes. This is serious. I wish you well and I know you can be successful. Good luck.
