Should I Tell My Sister About My Porn Addiction?

Question by krnskater3565: Should I tell my sister about my porn addiction?
I have a porn addiction and I have decided that I need help. My sister is 28 and a very mature and wise individual and she has never given me a reason not to trust her and she is my personal counselor. I think she is the only one that can help me because our family isn’t very financially well and my sister is married and has a job and well off. She could be the only one that could help me get therapy.

Sure. They are all good reasons to confide in your sister, regardless of how embarrassing it may be.

Do what you think is best. Think to the future… if you tell her now and get help, in five years when you look back at this will you be glad you told her despite the embarrassment? If you think you need help, you should get it. Otherwise it may get much worse. It’s best to get it done and move on now. Also if you’re considering telling her now, if you put it off you’re still likely to tell her anyway in a few months when it gets worse. Do what you’ve gotta do. She seems trustworthy… go with it!
