Eating Disorder Causing Diabetes?
Question by Rita: eating disorder causing diabetes?
I was around 120 and I have an eating disorder and depression so for the past maybe 9 days I have been eating massive amounts of sugary unhealthy food (I know disgusting)
anyways my eyes are really blurry and I’ve never had any problems with my vision before, my head also hurts
could I have developed a form of diabetes .. I have probably gained up to 10 pounds in the past couple weeks
I’m so scared I know I’m damaging my body but its an addiction
I am seriously addicted to food, if I stop for 4 days I will eventually cave in, so I stopped trying and now I just binge all day long
thank you Mark, I have done those things working out makes me feel amazing, but as I said 4 days without a binge and its clawing at me to give in, and sometimes I do it right away I don’t put up a fight I want that release as soon as I get it my depression takes over I am not in control anymore

Obviously your aware of how unhealthy this is so im not going to lecture you on it. Blurry vision and headache can be be caused by poor diet. If your eating sugary unhealthy foods your body is probably lacking certain nutrients. I get the same problem because i don’t eat. Either way you should probably visit a doctor and get your self checked out.

i have a similar problem with food. i will eat and eat certain foods if a have them in my house. first stop buying these products. i used to have a moderate amount of depression, but i don’t any more. the thing you have to do is change how you view certain things about your life. not everything matters that much, and is pointless to over think them. when you start to over think a problem you might start feeling depressed. you have to take a minute and stop and view yourself from a logical point of view. if what you are depressed from is purely childish, then all you doing is wasting time. why are you eating massive amounts of sugary unhealthy food? well sugary foods make you feel good, and having that good feeling helps suppress depression. i completely understand this. so what you need to do is find other things that make you feel good. what makes me feel good is going to the gym and getting a good work out. i have friends who enjoy creating things through art. doing things that make you feel accomplished can give you this good feeling. i set goals for myself and currently trying to learn how to play the piano. you could not be spending enough time outside in the sun, take a long walk, and say hello to a stranger.
