a part of me feels stupid for asking. lately I’ve been having suicidal thoughts but have opted out of going to the hospital because I don’t know if they will help taper me off of benadryl (the bigger problem than Xanax, surprisingly), or make me quit cold turkey. I’ve begun withdrawal from this medication before, and it’s the single-most terrifying thing. I don’t want to be heaving and vomiting on the psych unit.

They might. They may put you on a different medication that works the same but not as addictive
