iternet addiction may be regarded as a disease in China, a media report said.

A research on internet addiction, which is to be named ‘pathological Internet use’, was being conducted by the Ministry of Health, China Daily quoted Shen Jiahong, director of the Guangzhou Baiyun Psychological Institute, as saying.

About 50 percent of teenaged delinquents in China’s Guangdong province were Internet-dependent, said Deng Weilong who heads the Guangdong team on the prevention of teenaged crimes.
