Pain-Killers Addiction?

Question by chere t: pain-killers addiction?
I am addicted to pain-killers and everyday I promise myself to take less and to try to get through the day but I am unable to do this. Nobody knows that I take these pills but without them my body hurts and I cannot function. I am too young to be doing this and was wondering if anyone else can relate to me and perhaps advise. Thank you. Cherie

These things can get a hold on you quick. Get help from a professional. If you are unable to do that, you are going to have to just quit cold turkey and suffer throgh it. If it’s hydrocodone, you should be over it in about 2 weeks.

If your addicted to opiates( Vicodin and such) you can quit cold turkey. You WILL feel like death warmed over a few days but it won’t kill you. If your taking any drugs that are dangerous if you quit cold turkey(for example withdrawl from methadone unsupervised can kill) than see your doctor and ask for some help. As a matter of fact go see your doctor anyway, he/she is there to help you. Good Luck!!
