Weed Addiction Problems?
Question by smoker101: Weed addiction problems?
My boyfriend had a rough childhood and now he is addicted to marijuana, I always told him that before we ever got married or had kids that I wanted him to quit because I didn’t want the kids to have the same problem.. well we had an accident and now im having his child, and he has been saying he is going to quit but he won’t and I don’t think he will… I want my child to have a father in their life and I hope we can work this out.. I told him to quit he is going to have to meet with his parents in a safe enviornment where they can’t give him drugs and that means not going over to their house and he needs to go to rehab, well he didn’t like that idea he said he is up for rehab but will not agree to not going to the suppliers house. Has anyone ever had a problem like this does anyone have suggestions on how to handle this?

i am in a situation like this, though i am not pregnant. i just like a guy and told him that i wont date him until he quits. i think the best way to say it is ‘i cant care about someone who doesnt care about themself’ tell him how hard it is for you.

The first thing rehab will tell him is that when he leaves the clinic he should avoid old associations as visiting people who smoke and deal will lead to temptation. He might think of them as friends, but this is an important first step, realizing those friends are anything but as they are being enablers for a very bad addiction.
