I have found that I have an addictive personality and it is very frustrating. I am talking anything, I had to take some pills for serious pain and found after the pain was gone I still took them for a couple days just cause I liked the little high. I don’t get addicted for long periods of time because I do know what is happening.
I am also addicted to healthy stuff as well especially working out. I once even had an addiction to Monster energy drinks until the big crash after I had 4 within a 7 hour period and the next day felt so crappy and slept most of the day even though I had gotten a good nights rest.
It comes down to the fact that if I like something I get addicted but it usually last a short time. Usually when I realize, a couple days after, the addiction stops except the working out because that is not bad.
But how do I avoid bad addictions when it starts as not a bad thing in the beginning?
I do eat healthy, became an addiction for me a couple of years ago (healthier stuff cost more).
Well, I think I most afraid of that one thing that comes along and just soaks me in.
Also if it could be hereditary (spelled it wrong) at all, I have an 11 year old daughter.

i think the best thing for you is that you seem to realize it right away and take care of it. for me i realize it and sometimes do not take care of my addictions. the best thing to do is just find healthy foods, drinks and activities and become addicted to that type of lifestyle. i used to drink and do drugs like crazy. now i eat healthy and work out. sometimes too much but its better then the other lif style. basically you need to pick your poison. you seem to have your head on and catch things early that is the the best thing for you……
