Are There Any Psychological Effects of Masturbation Addiction?

Question by Stevv: Are there any psychological effects of masturbation addiction?
Now this is a serious question… nothing stupid like “does masturbation make you blind.”

I have noticed that one can get quite addicted to masturbation. Who can blame them? It feels good, releases chemicals in your brain right? And therefore if you go several days without it (after doing it several times PER day) you can start to crave it? Wondering if this has any effect like it does in anybody addicted to drugs or alcohol?

No, it does not cause withdrawal symptoms. However, when you’re masturbating several times a day, you’re choosing to be alone, withdrawn from others. That part can have consequences on your psychological growth.
