Can Past or Present Addictive Gamblers Tell Me What It Feels Like to Have That Addiction?
Question by SHARI: Can past or present addictive gamblers tell me what it feels like to have that addiction?
I understand that alcohol and drugs cause cravings, but I just don’t understand why someone addicted to gambling, would steal from family and friends, knowing the pain it will cause and knowing that they will be caught. Is the addiction that bad that they would hurt their own family? Is it a physical/mental thing they feel??? I just need to understand, because I am going through this crap.

Congressman Trey Radel Shouldn't Apologize For Using Cocaine
But I'd also note that politicians who get in trouble for drugs feel public pressure to seek rehab even if they never had an addiction. Radel wouldn't be allowed to say "I do coke because it is fun and I don't have any problem requiring treatment" even …
