Causes of Addiction: Astigmatism Caused by Using PC?

Today i visited the ophthalmologist and he told me i haev astigmatism, my dad who hates my “computer addiction” (no more than 5 hr daily) told me that my addiction is the cause. But wikipedia says (i know wikipedia is not a doctor) that the only causes for it is One, genetics, Two Surgery.
So can any one clear my doubt, Astigmatism can really be caused by The monitor?

Astigmatism is only genetic there are other eye diseases that can be caused by staring at computer monitors while in a low light environment, but none of those are astigmatism so yeah…
