Question by JARED: What causes Nicotine?
I’ve quit for about 7 month’s and started smoking again. Out of nowhere the craving was stronger then when I was smoking daily. What makes nicotine so damn powerful? and has anyone found a way to truly break the addiction?

Not entirely sure about the whole addiction/withdrawal process, but I know nicotine itself helps the heart work and that’s where a major part of the addiction comes from. You become dependent on nicotine for stressful situations when your heart needs that extra boost to work. This can be found in eating large meals, when you’re under a lot of pressure, and when consuming large amounts of alcohol (aka calories) which is why it’s so pleasurable at that time.
