Will You Consider Addiction Treatment to Be One of the Factors That Can Lead to a Healthier Society?
Question by arleen a: Will you consider addiction treatment to be one of the factors that can lead to a healthier society?
I need your take on this. How can addiction treatment possibly benefit society as a whole and not just the addict? I’m planning to do an essay on this for extra credit in one of my classes. I just want to know the opinions of others. Thanks.

Yes. I will definitely consider addiction treatment to be one of the factors that can lead to the betterment of society. Addiction treatment benefits society because for every addict that is treated for his addiction, there is one individual that is brought back to sobriety and productivity. This causes repercussions of good change, which, though small, can make a big difference if there are many others treated. Furthermore, drug addicts are a lot more likely to be afflicted with and spread diseases such as HIV and AIDS. They are also more prone to showcasing violent behavior. If they will undergo addiction treatment, such circumstances can be avoided.

How Do I Get My Boyfriend to Stop Smoking Weed?
Question by kissable_chipmunk: How do I get my boyfriend to stop smoking weed?
When I started dating my boyfriend I didn’t know he smoked weed. He tried to get me to smoke with him but it’s just not for me. I’ve asked him to stop smoking but that only made him go behind my back. He’s kind of got better but everytime his sister wants to smoke he does. I don’t know how to get him to stop and I know the only way he will stop is to want to stop himself.

I am going through the same thing and it is killing me :[ I try to make my boyfriend stop but he won’t and honestly there is nothing we can do. You can’t force someone to stop something they want. You would think if someone cared enough for you they’d stop, but i learned they won’t. Best i can say is try to cope with it. Try to set limits like say he can smoke only once a month, thats what i have to do with my boyfriend. I’m sorry girl, i know how it feels but stay strong.

My little boy has a low WBC (specifically neutrophils) and his titers show that he’s not responsive to vaccines. He has also got an infection in his lung from a bacteria normally found in the mouth, but should not cause infection.

immunodeficiency, primary or acquired. in addition to another disorder, Cystic Fibrosis or other’s that mimic it. or oncology/cancer/bone, spleen or other. But, your child needs to be under the care of an expert MD, immunologist/infectious disease specialist and pulmo asap. You’ve got alot of work ahead of you.. get DNA testing done, rare diseases/genetic disorders/nih, they have additional resources for travel/housing accomodations if you have to go to a specific cener.
