Help With Guilt From a Sinful Addiction?

Question by Robert: Help with guilt from a sinful addiction?
I am a Christian and so the sin is masturbation… or the sexual fantasies during it, since that’s the sinful part. I went 3 days without doing it, temptation wasn’t even an issue cause I thought of it as something terrible and felt way too guilty to do it. So I can stop doing it, but when I do my depression and anxiety gets worse and I feel panicky all day. And today I did it just to make the chronic panic go away, and it worked except I get panic now from something else: the guilt from sinning and committing adultery with my heart. This is a tough situation… would God want me to suffer the panic from not doing it and try to quit again cause it’s right? Would the panic eventually go away? Like is it a temporary withdrawal symptom or something? I feel like he’s mad at me now and it’s leaving me feeling upset and guilty… I would really appreciate some advice.
Just another Jesus freak: it’s not the temptation that’s a problem, like I said the guilt prevents the temptation. It’s the effects I feel from not doing it that’s the problem.

lemonadep0p: are you suggesting that I masturbate without sinful fantasies? How can that be done?

Thanks for the other answers I’m still not sure though cause I remember the verse “There should not be a hint of sexual immorality” and it makes me feel guilty
