No. Porn addiction is sick, and will waste a ton of time, but it doesn’t fill your body with toxic chemicals like a real drug will.

That’s why you never hear of people becoming homeless or going to rehab for ‘porn addiction.’

Laxitive Addiction?? ?

Question by BellaBelle: Laxitive addiction?? ?
Is there such a thing? I was thinking if being bulimia sufferers purge can people be addicted to laxitives? Is that possibly a form of bulimia? What effects do they have in the long term?? Very curious I watched Demi Lovato Stay Strong earlier and was just wondering I know its not so much an addiction as a sickness.

Answer by OnAnotherPlanet
A laxative addiction CAN happen, and it goes along with eating disorders, like bulimia, but is not the same thing, just another way of losing weight. But you do not actually lose weight, since the food passes thru your stomach and intestines and everything.

Long term damage? After awhile, you won’t be able to poop without taking a laxative.

Addictions….??

Question by Kara Joy: Addictions….??
Some people believe that the cause of addictions is genetic. Who here thinks that that is a bunch of crap? I think that they have the choice. Just because they might grow up around it doesn’t mean that they have to do it. I think that some people blame genetics so they have something to blame it on…What do you think??

Best answer:

Answer by daniegirl917
I don’t believe it is genetic… I agree with you. It is a choice you make… then it is about self control… you decide to let it become an addiction…

Answer by sweetsum691
I am an alcoholic, as are many people in my family. I think genetics may play a part in it, but if I hadn’t made the choice to start drinking, would I still be an alcoholic? Who knows. I don’t really think it matters, to be honest. I once saw a saying in rehab… ‘you are in no way responsible for what happened to you as a child… however, as an adult, you are 100% responsible for fixing it!’
