Get a more time-consuming hobby. Or start a project that you’re really determined to finish, then you’ll end up thinking about that and not the computer. Set goals! And be more creative with your sisters – go shopping with them, play some fun games with the 9 year old.
Rent out some good movies. Whenever you feel like going on the computer, try to do something else instead; eat some fruit, paint a picture, write a poem, start photography, or learn an instrument. Good luck!

First to notice, there is a difference, between being on the computer all day, and being on the computer more then you want to.

I have faced this situation a very long time ago aswell.
So for me, the first step was to explore the computer for fun things.
Lol i ended up programming games and websites.

But at the end, I got rid of it, by thinking what causes me to be on the computer so much. I looked on what i did on the computer when i was bored, and when i was not. I found out, I simply was very interested in creating stuff and socializing with other people. Also I love to learn new stuff. And since the computer is the fastest way to do that, the addiction exists.

What you need to do, is find something you like that cannot be done on the computer, or something that can be done faster then on the computer. In my case, i went outside and learn how to do the handstand, and how to walk on my hands. I did this like 30 minutes a day. Finally i learned how to manage it, and it pleases you. Then under this pleasing feeling, you will not have the need for being on the computer, since you found something else interesting/fun to do.

“So.., I said i end up bored when i get on the computer”
Yes, thats a neurotic action. You used to enjoy the computer much, because it was/is fast and could entertain you quick.
You unconsiously still know that, and when you get bored you go the most accessable and most effective source of enjoyment you know. Which you know is the computer.

You need to find something else fun to do, or simply entertaining to “override” the unconsious thought that the computer is the most fast en effective source of enjoyment.
