How to Stop My Phone Addiction?
Question by Zoe: How to stop my phone addiction?
So I have two friends that text me everyday. If I dont text back at first then they just text again in like 10 minutes. This goes on almost all day. If I do text them back they have extremely long conversations and if I just stop texting they continue to text me! If I ignore them for a long time they automatically think that I am mad at them. I usually do text them back cut not because I want to but because I am trying to be friendly. I think that all of my texting has turned into an addiction. I have noticed that I have to have my phone with me at all times. If I dont have it with me a feel anxious and I am continuously thinking about it. I can keep myself away from it, but I am always thinking about it. How can i make this stop!

My best friend has just admitted to me that he has a weed addiction and i dont know what to do… he went to school with me in texas but now he’s in california and we still talk over messenger and the phone…so..he told me today and said he does it to blank out his problems and i tried to get him to talk about it but he was just being stubborn…he says he would rather face things alone…i dont know what to do to help him since he’s across the country from me….i cant talk to his parents they died when he was born and he lives with his stepmom who doesnt care at all what he does…what can i tell him? i promised him i would never leave his side and i want to help him…i did my best to help him with his suicidal thoughts a few months ago and i succeeded, thankfully….but now this..im tired of watching him destroy himself…its so painful…what do i do and how can i help him?
