Question by I said I want you, just exactly like I used to: I’m headed off to boarding school in August?
To Philips Academy. My closest friends think I can change with my “weed addiction.” I only do it occasionally, I’m not actually addicted to this tree. Do you think I can change or is that too much to ask?

I recommend changing your behavior, but to do that you have to really want to. Do you really want that rep at your new school?

At most boarding schools, you will be expelled if you are caught with weed. I don’t know what the rules are at Andover, but they will not be very forgiving. A few schools allow you one infraction, but for the majority you get expelled.
You should not smoke weed while you are at Andover. It is a great school and a wonderful opportunity that can be life-changing. Don’t “blow” away this opportunity! If you are not addicted and only use weed occasionally, I don’t understand why you feel conflicted. Just stop using it while at school. There will be some students using it, so don’t be tempted.
