Question by Phill: Nicotine Free Tobacco Addiction?
i find myself addicted to beef jerky chew, a chew similar to tobacco,
it has no addicting ingredients, and i can make it for about 50 cents a can
i kind of find it like chewing gum.
but im wondering, (its shredded up beef jerky with salt and seasoning) if it is dangerous
and dont laugh, all my friends love it too! its been like a month since i started
i have the money and i find real chew discusting, please tell me if this is a dangerous habit
i know it sounds funny, but is is spit free, and you can swallow it when ur done

It doesn’t sound harmful to me. If you’re doing it instead of chewing tobacco, it’s a massively healthy change of habit, and you should definitely keep it.

If you were able to stop smoking just through what you described, then you had an oral addiction and you simply substituted smoking for chewing. No big deal there. The only thing I could think of is that constant use of it might damage your teeth and gums simply from the salt and seasonings. Also constantly swallowing the juice caused by the mixture of your saliva with the salt and seasonings, could irritate your esophagus tube and your stomach. But if you only do this a few times through out the day, then I dont think itd be a big deal.
