My mom has a strange tendency to sniff moth balls none stop I keep telling her to stop but she won’t
Is sniffing it bad for her health?

yes! it kills moths too.
she is using it as an inexpensive dangerous way to get high/light headed. The light-headedness is asphyxia/hypoxia (lack of oxygen)
if she won’t stop be sure to have 911 on the tip of your fingers. In poor countries children sniff other toxics like glue/adhesives for the same reasons, an inexpensive high..

Well, this is unusual way of getting high. I’ve never heard of this before. I suppose that since moth balls are an insecticide, they may be bad for one’s health. I hope your mom stops doing it because it may be dangerous.
