Do I Have a Mental Disorder?
Question by RavensFan54: Do I have a mental disorder?
I’m currently 15. I just started going to a counselor because my mom forced me to because she says I seem very isolated and depressed. She says this because I literally never leave my room unless I have to or if I want to get food or something. For as long as I can remember I’ve always been kind of sad or angry. Ever since I was a little kid people have made fun of me because of my looks and I’ve always been shy so I don’t really talk much(especially to girls) and I don’t have much friends. Sometimes I cry and get sad because I wonder if I’ll ever have a girlfriend or get married and think “what girl would want me?” I sleep a lot and feel tired a lot. I am isolated and I never really leave the house unless I’m going with my mom somewhere. Some days I feel overwhelming sadness, it feels like I want to cry and be alone when that happens. I’ve always been ashamed about how I look because in school I’ve been made fun of for my looks, the way I walk, and I can’t really sit still without fidgeting. I’ve thought for a while now that I have some type of mental disorder but when I do I feel ashamed and weak because of it. I don’t talk to anyone about my problems and I basically keep them to myself. I feel like no one cares or will listen to me and I’m also embarrased to share my feelings. I really do feel sad and alone but I haven’t told my mom or the counselor. My mom was depressed and attempted to commit suicide when she was younger but she gets counseling now and urges me to tell her if anything is wrong but I just feel so ashamed. Can you give me your honest opinions and tell me what you think? Thanks.

Question by Lady_Gaga’s_Lil’Monster: HELP!!! addicted to lip balm!!!?
i must use it every 10 minutes. Last thing at night and first thing in the morning. It’s crazy. If I don’t use it, I feel like I have to lick my lips which only makes it worse. When something salty goes on my lips it bothers me. How do I stop? What techniques are there?

Answer by Josh P.
Hi,
It really depends, your lips will get chapped if you aren’t drinking enough liquids. But lip balm addiction is definitely something new for me that I never heard of.
What I know from what you are telling me is that it’s more of a habit then anything else. There is nothing wrong with lip balm.
