I Have an Addiction to Being a Tease? Is This Stemming From Narcissism?
Question by Artemis Marie: I have an addiction to being a Tease? Is this stemming from Narcissism?
Okay here’s the deal with me.
Around the last couple months of being 17 and now being 18, I’ve noticed I have this “addiction” if you will, to being a tease. I know that sounds weird but like, okay, I did some online searching a while back because I started realizing I was really really vain and people started calling me narcissistic. At first it was funny I was like whatever I’m just confident and I know I’m good looking blah blah. But then after a while, I really stopped disagreeing with them. I realized yea I kind if am narcissistic. It doesn’t bother me, as conceited as I sound I’m just trying to explain how I am. I’m Really attractive and I seem to have Very good fortune. So I’m narcissistic. I researched traits of people with Narcissism so I’m pretty confident I am.

Yes you can. Your doctors are very aware of that and are monitoring your intake. That don’t want you to be in pain, but they also don’t want you to develop an addiction to your meds. Maybe that is why they keep changing them.

Causes of Addiction: Can You Replace Hydrocodone With Ibuprofen?
Question by Ken: Can you replace Hydrocodone with Ibuprofen?
I recently got my wisdom teeth removed and I got a prescription for pain killers and an infection prevention pill. I quickly crashed after at home and my mom got the prescriptions.
She replaced the hydrocodones that were supposed to be used for pain killers with ibuprofen. Is this safer? I’ve heard that hydrocodone is addictive, but is it really better this way?
The dosage is 1 pill every four hours for the hydrocodones compared to the three pills of ibuprofen every four hours.

Causes of Addiction: Why Is There a Lack of Treatment for Video Game Addiction?
Question by Question Mark: Why is there a lack of treatment for video game addiction?
For some reason whenever I read a story on video game addiction or see a help website for video games people always seem to think the best way to treat it is to stop playing video games. But what’s the point? If I do have video game addiction I’m just going to move onto some other addiction. But then again, people spend all day on facebook, cell phones, television, texting, watching movies and so on and none seems to claim those are addictions. I play games for 3 hours a day and people seem to think that 3 hours is too long. I don’t think gaming addiction is real though. Just like how video games don’t cause violence. I mean, kids get obsessed with spongebob. When in adults they want to play video games they may be stressed out at work or they have some other problem in their marraige that they want to keep playing. So why is it considered an addiction by everyone else. But people use their cell phones, facebook, texting, internet or other hobbies? Why is there a lack of treatment for it?
@trance: It looks like that you just have a time management problem with your gaming. Why don’t you cut back on it a little and maybe do some other hobbies as well. All hobbies can become time consuming like working on a hobby car, or doing fishing, or anything like that.
