Question by Heather: I’m looking for a drug rehab center in Indianapolis, or surrounding area.?
My father is highly addicted to crack cocaine. He is living with my grandma, but he steals from her and the others in the family. We have tried to find good places for him to go, but he will stay for a week and be discharged to come right back out and get back on the drug. Is there any place in the STATE of INDIANA that can help people with NO INCOME to find rehabilitation from drugs and alcohol. None of us can pay for his treatment and he can’t hold down a job because of physical illnesses that he had. Please someone help us!!!

Question by Starfish: I think I may have bipoler? its a long question but I’m confused ?
I will say sorry in advance for my spelling. Ok so I will just say what I do or a good week and a bad week. On a good week I get up go to the horses come back have something to eat usually a bake tattie then usually have a smoke of either weed,legal or solid. This is usually not a whole week more 2/3 days a week but iv not been to the horse in a while. I have self-harmed and tried to comit sucide about 6 times. Since I was about 11 I’m 17 now. My head on over drive all the time I sleep usually from about 2ish to 6 in the morning but I get up easier with 2 hours sleep than I do with 7. My bad weeks are worse like today I had a roll and a bag of crisps at 1 and that me till tommorow. I have lay in my bed for atleast a week now although I do get up to have a shower and that but if I was staying in my own company I wouldn’t bother I smoke weed almost everyday I smoke don’t drink coffee or tea. My education records are rubbish I either didn’t go or got exculuded when I went. Also I had a chat with my ex tonight and I told him about it and he says sometimes I’m like a diffrent person. I get annoyed at people easy more time than not I have no idea why? When I’m upset I think back on what I was doing ie just the other day I was going to buy a gun. I feel unmotivated! Also I owned my own horse when I was 16 that lasted about 6 months then I hardly ever went near him ps my foster carer took care of him. I don’t sleep about or anything it actually makes me feel sick of the though of someone other than my current boyfriend touching me. I only leave my room to go to the toliet shower get smoke or go to the shop I also have to take a nap about 12 during the day because I’m so tired? Addiction is based in your biology…

“Addiction” is defined not by the frequency or quantity used but the inability to stop using/stop preoccupying in the face of mounting negative consequences.

If you lack the genetics for Addiction, you can become physically dependant upon a substance and suffer the withdrawal syndrome, but after it’s out of yours system you won’t have a profound preoccupation to go out and score again…    Read more...
