drugs/alcohol, sex, cigarettes, food, internet? which one is the worst in your opinion and WHY? and is there another one that is worse? what do you think it is

any addiction at all is bad.
worse in my opinioin is drugs and alcohol. They can make you violent. and drugs can kill you on your first try.

Heron, it is the worst of any addiction. The way heron works is that it creates a euphoric sensation that is better then any feeling you can get naturally, it is better then Sex and Eating, Two things that release the most endorphins in the brain. So imagine feeling better then you ever felt then never being able to get it again, so you take more and more to chase that high. Heron also has the highest rate of suicide among recovering addicts because nothing ever feels that good again.

Question by voiceeyeshands: Can I Help My Friend With Gambling Addiction??
I’ve known my guy friend since we were young and we’ve been really close these last 4 years. Over that time I’ve noticed he has a tendency to develop bad habits (gambling, drinking, smoking weed). When I try to voice my concerns he becomes defensive. I’ve been in a relationship where I’ve been codependent before, so I’m not looking to do that again – but there is a part of me that wishes I could help him.
So, the question is, should I try to help him, or just let him figure it out for himself?

It sounds to me like you know the answer already.
Do what you need to do to take care of yourself, until he is ready to quit, nothing you can do for him.
