Why Does Trying to Stop Cutting Seem So Futile?
Question by : why does trying to stop cutting seem so futile?
I’ve been getting help, but its still tempting at times. Its like im fine for a bit, then I end up cutting again, and then im fine for a bit again. I haven’t cut in a while, but I want to and I still keep a knife around (I tried getting rid of my knives, but in the end I always end up getting more).

I’m sure it’s like any psychosis. I’m sure it’s not a cake-walk to get rid of it.
Answer by Caboose
You’re enabling yourself. You keep knives around so obviously you’re gonna consider using them.
Its like a drug addict that keeps around some needles and heroin “just to have it”
This is just an addiction for you that you need to get rid of. You need to change ur current mindset if you wanna give it up.
