Question by : Do I have a shopping addiction?
There is an Ulta that has opened near my house and since it opened,I go there almost every day on every weekend to buy new makeup and nail products. I am only 17 years old going to 18 in a few months. I really love the store. It has almost everything. I don’t buy that much but I hide things that I bought from my mom, get a high from shopping, feel guilty after shopping thinking I should of got more because i dont have enough kind of feeling and spend more than I need to. Is this a shopping addiction?

You could be having symptoms of a shopping or spending addiction, especially with the euphoria that you feel during (and/or) while feeling guilty afterwards. The hiding of items that you’d purchased is also a sign of a spending addiction. Please ask your mom or dad to make an appointment with a licensed mental health counselor.    Read more...
