Question by Douglas: What are some great movies depicting the time after WW2 to just after the civil rights movement?
Im doing a film review for a history class and I cant think of any movies to save my life. It can be on communism, the civil rights, etc. It just has to be here on American soil.

Question by : Whats the difference between having a addictive personality and just plain addicted?
I hear people say you don’t have an addiction, but you have an addictive personality & i was just wondering whats the difference, addiction is addiction right, weather its personality or not, right? Explain if you will.

An example: I have an addictive personality and I’m addicted to alcohol. I’m in recovery for it. In the past I’ve been addicted to meth, pot, x, and lots of other things. I won’t try heroin because I know that I have and addictive personality and would get hooked on it. That’s also the reason I avoid pain meds or anything else I know could trigger my addictive personality. I’m clean from alcohol, so I’m not addicted right now, but if I drink again, I know my addictive personality will trigger an addiction.    Read more...

Question by Mary-ann G: Was addicted to Codeine, now I’ve just relapsed and feel theres something wrong?
I was severely injured and prescribed Codeine three years ago. I began to abuse the pills. Not to get high or anything but try to stop the pain I was in constantly, to get some sleep and to try and feel normal again. At only 15, I was desperate. In the end, I was taking 180 miligrams instead of the prescribed 30mg. Its something I regret forever.
Anyways, I was weaned off and had withdrawal symptons.
Today, something really bad happened and i turned to Codeine. Stupidly. But now something feels different. My skin itches, my limbs ache, I’m all jittery. Completely different from the relaxed and deep sleep of before. Is it because before my body was used to Codeine and now I’ve taken 150mg having taken nothing for 6 months?
I just feel so strange – like I keep unconciously digging my nails in my palm, like im nervous.    Read more...
