Where Can You Go for Help for a Daughter With a Drug Addiction in the Savannah Ga. Area?

Question by Concerned Mom: where can you go for help for a daughter with a drug addiction in the Savannah Ga. area?
She is 40 plus and has been addicted to drugs and alcohol for over 20 years. She has lost her home, job and eyerthing else. She is a danger to herself and her family. She has been in rehab several times but went right back to her old ways. I need any suggestions of who I can talk to to get her help before that call comes to come and identify the body.

I wish I knew that area to recommend something close to you. I’m sorry for you, but have you thought of seeing a therapist for yourself?

This is a crazy suggestion but have you seen that reality TV show called Intervention? I think they pay for all the treatments.

How to Stop Soda Addiction?

Question by Poke that Panda: How to stop Soda Addiction?
I’m addicted to soda…coke specifically…any way to stop it?
By the way, don’t suggest milk. That’s already my 2nd addiction.
And I don’t have a slow metabolism, so I’m only around 104 pounds. I just want to grow taller, and I know soda won’t help, so I need help with quitting drinking soda too much, or overall any easy healthy diets.
By the way, I eat those ramen noodle packages daily. Is that healthy or unhealthy? Should I quit/cut down on the ramen, too?

Gambling Addiction — How Can We Stop?

Question by Wondering: Gambling addiction — how can we stop?
**Note I posted this under gambling, and now under mental health. If this is breaking a Yahoo! community guideline, just let me know. Thanks.**

When I met my husband, I would hate to waste $ 5 in a slot machine. After years of sitting next to him while he played roulette, I started playing — and was good at it. I’d win $ 1000, $ 2000, $ 5000 a pop. There was a time when I’d go just to get extra money. Then I came into a big windfall of money. He and I went nuts — now we have unpaid bills, empty bank account and a shameful gambling problem.

Please don’t just say “stop going,” because we said that at least 100 times — and many thousands of dollars — ago.
