I’d imagine the big one is the fact that they will make your balls shrink. That would be enough for most guys not to bother.

They definitely pep you up but the problem is they will make you think you are fitter than you are and you can harm yourself by over exertion. they can also cause bone wastage and extreme addiction with serious side effects when you stop taking them. The ones used for body building can cause severe personality change and also physical and sexual aggression.
Do Benzos Cause Serious Depression And/or Personality Changes?
Question by oldweirdhoss: Do benzos cause serious depression and/or personality changes?
Can this be a bad side effect of taking anxiety medications? The doctor who invented Valium couldn’t take it because it made him depressed. Is this common?
Also, is it common to have paradoxical reactions to Xanax, like severe personality changes and mental instability?

They are very addictive….
Anything that causes dependency and drug seeking behavior should be made illegal… I have never known anyone to take any benzo without having to be abruptly taken off of it eventually. So why start them to begin with.
Opiates are one thing, because they are usually for pain management and many cancer patients need them… Benzo’s are an outdated means of controlling anxiety.
I think they should have come up with something better by now…
How Addiction Happens: Overcome Addictions With Hypnosis
How does addiction happen?
Generally, and addictions happen when a person starts to escape or run away from their stressful and emotional issues and thus, find a distractor to cope. Furthermore, people who have been addicted to one negative habit are more susceptible to become addicted to another. For example, when a person manages to stop smoking, he or she may turn to eating to fill the emotional void left behind.
For some, the addiction happens very quickly while for others, it happens slowly over the years. Usually when that happens, it leads the person to a sense of euphoria, subsequently leading the person to keep searching for the same feeling of euphoria. This “high” feeling sends biochemicals to the brain which in turn sends signals to other parts of the body giving the illusion of happiness.
