I Love to Study Human Behavior and Most TV Shows Are Atypical; Which Are Best at Showing Human Behavior?
Question by FYRE & REIGN: I love to study human behavior and most TV shows are atypical; which are best at showing human behavior?
I have a hard time with many TV shows because I’m there groaning “Oh, yeah, like THAT’S going to happen!” The characters and their actions are often unbelievable, implausible. Most people are satisfied with poorly developed characters and outlandish plots but I crave stories where the people are believable BUT the outcome is a surprise. Are there any TV series, present or past, like that?

I find the character of Alan Shore on Boston legal to be quite believable even if the story lines are a bit over the top. His character is very humanly flawed. He is opinionated, compassionate, sarcastic, horny, and honest. Some of the other characters are not as balanced but overall the show really works.
