I started smoking weed last summer, and although I don’t own my own smoking devices, I still smoke a lot. With people, never alone. But.. I want to stop. I’ve tried before, and I end up doing it again because it’s just there. I want to say it’s because everyone around me does it, and it’s hard to stay away, but I know very damn well I can just say “no.” and they won’t press on. I’m 15, turning 16 in November.
Give me advice?
btw, if you’re just going to tell me weed isn’t addicting and it’s not bad for me, shut the f*ck up.

make it clear to your friends that you don’t want to smoke anymore, so they shouldnt pass you the weed. if you state this clearly to them a few times they will get the point. they might make fun of you thouhg, be prepared for that.

I’ve tried to quit countless times and promised myself I’d stop because I hate the way I feel afterward but it’s become a bad habit I fall back on and I always feel lousy afterward for giving in to the bad habit.

There are a lot of different things to do. What works best for me is to find some sort of active hobby like working out or playing sports. When I used to sit around and smoke, play video games, and crap like that I ended up feeling worse afterward.

my daughter had gastric bypass about 5 years ago…this spring she had to have emergency life saving surgery because her smoking caused the colon where it connects to the stomach to rupture. She had surgery and was told NEVER to smoke again, but she is! I’m wanting her to try the new electronic cigarettes but are they any better? I am so scared of what smoking NOW is doing to her. she was told it would take a year to heal from her surgery….

yeah she deff shouldnt smoke! she needs to quit either cold turkey or using a patch or something. do everything you can do to get her to stop. show her digusting pics of what happens to people that smoke or something. the electric cigarettes are better for you, but theyre still not good to be addicted to them.
