Good news! You will return to feeling normal soon. Bad news, it can take up to 2 weeks depending on how long you’ve been using and how much you had in your system when you stopped. For the pain take Tylenol. It will get better. I know from personal experience. And drink lots of water to help flush it out!

I think it would be easier for you if you entered in-patient rehab. When people are addicted to opiates, they can take a medication that replaces the opiates in your brain but you don’t get “high”. Your body will eventually go back to normal. It is really hard to go through withdrawal and I think you could possibly suffer with it for MONTHS and still miss getting high on opiates a whole year later. I’ve been through that in the past and it was sheer agony. It’s much easier if you go to rehab. Doing it on your own rarely works, I’m sorry to say.
