It depends if you have an addictive personality. Sometimes drugs are a chemical dependence, sometimes it’s just a habitual thing. You can be addicted to anything if it becomes a routine enough times. Unfortunately most of the time, people get addicted to the “high” and you build up a tolerance until you need more of the drug to achieve the desired effect which leads to overdose.

All “hard drugs” are extremely overrated by the media. But really, It’s a reflection of the societal view of something. Something they have never done/experienced and probably know little to nothing about.
The thrill of defiance may be why you enjoy all “hard drugs”. The relief you experience, the fading from reality, may be the source of your addiction. Or, maybe, you simply want to experience all you can in this life.
When you decide to kick the habit something will just click and you’ll know you can do it. That doesn’t mean wait for a sign from god, but find a reason that would outweigh the desire to do them now.
