cuz it gets in the way of ur life and it can ruin it therefore u need help and is treated like a disease that can be treated with the right help.

We call it a “disease” so that it’s not the addict’s fault and so that we, as a society, are responsible for fixing it, not the addict.
In our society today, it is popular to make excuses for every failing of every person and to say that it is not their fault. As a result, no one is responsible for the choices they make, “we” are, so “we” must fix it.
