Causes of Addiction: So, I Think I Have Found Another Addiction and It Might Cause Marital Problems…?

Question by Sup Plicating: So, I think I have found another addiction and it might cause marital problems…?
So, I have developed and ultimately overcome the following addictions during my marriage (No particular order):

1.) Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups – I hold my wife responsible, because she FORCED me to eat these.
2.) Other women – I wouldn’t touch Marla with a 10′ pole, because I have a sneaking suspicion she has a pole of her own, but there have been some appealing mistresses out there. I overcame this by locking myself in a cage every weekend.
3.) Beer – Seriously, need I say more? I over came this because I lost my urge to masturbate.
4.) Masturbation – What? Something had to replace the beer.
5.) Y!A Contacts. Shockingly, I actually have no overcome this one.
6.) Chatting online and sending naughty pictures to random strangers. It was easy to overcome this when I came across a website that had the one picture where a mop handle was sticking out of my keister – Please, don’t ask, I was really going through a tough time then.

And now, I’ve recently discovered another addiction: “How I Met Your Mother”. I have all of the released seasons on DVD and have been watching them from the time I get home from work until the VERY late hours of the night. (Though, I did have one small hang-up where my wife decided they should be stored in my keister – See a former question for more information.)

It’s so addicting and I’m such a sucker for shows like this, how do you suggest I overcome it before I begin asking my wife to roleplay some of the situations in there?

Please, I need mature and serious answers.

IBNFE – So, you want me to be Neil Patrick Harris as Barney Stinson? I don’t think that would work for my wife.
