Question by Dad: My live in gf hates when I smoke pot?
My girlfriend and I are living together and we’ve been together for almost 2 years. When I met her I told her I had stopped smoking pot but I lied. She made it clear she didn’t want a “man with an addiction” so I had to lie because pot is not a big deal IF you do it after you’ve paid your bills, and saved some money. So she still hates when I do it, but my question is; How can we compromise in this situation? I don’t feel like I’m doing anything wrong since I pay the rent and bills and am romantic and clean the house…THEN smoke. Am I really that bad for ignoring the fact that she hates it? But what about me?

tell her it’s not an addiction, because it isn’t an addiction.
then the “man with an addiction” can’t come into play it’ll just be “man with weed”
get her to smoke it and see what all the fuss is about, then you guys can do it together
or tell her that in order for you to lose something of your life, it’s only fair if she loses something too.
