I’d say that both can be true. I end up using the internet out of boredom until I feel entranced, when I get up and do something else I feel much better.

Being addicted to internet doesn’t necessarily cause depression. It is just a factor of it.
If a person is very very addicted resulting into not eating properly, not sleeping properly and just on it 24/7. These are what causes depression.
See if a person doesnt sleep for a very long time, his orher brain will not function properly and it will produce lesser and lesser sarutonine chemicals in the brain. These chemicals is your happy chemicals. Now if this produces lesser and lesser, you become more drained and just low and moody. You become easily tempered and get pessimistic. Your whole mood changes and get mood swings.

Ive been really stressed out lately and I got a bottle of Xanax pills off my mate. No Prescription he jsut got them somehow and sells them. They are 2 milligrams and ive been taking them each night for the last 2 weeks. I still have 30 pills left and I want to stop after the 30 pills is over but im just worried about the withdrawal symptoms.
I heard they can be bad how should I stop taking Xanax because I mean I hear you cant just STOP right away you got to get off it slowly then stop. Ive just been taking 1 tablet a day. Any ideas on how I can get off Xanax safely? Thank you all for answering.

I admit it i am a computer addict but i dont know how to stop it. Ill wake up in the morning just thinking about the computer. I got it taken away already and its in my parents room but they both work and they dont get home till late. I end up using it more than i want to . Lie today for example i was just going to check my email but then i logged in into stickam. Just recentlly i deleted my stickam so i can get that out of the way. At home theres nothing to dooo!!!! i DO help out around the house a lot! i do have hobbies (softball) i play with my sisters. I like to read[any suggestions on a really good book im in the middle of readng eclipse] um i have to younger sisters 9 year old and a 14 year old. Im the oldest. I dont know what to do with them i end up bored and m back on the computer like right now! Pleaseeee anyyy helpp !! I do not want to be criticised i rather take contructive criticism=]

My ds is addicted to the internet I believe. He is not addicted to posting and blogging or any of that, He is addicted to playing games, you know like left 4 dead, world of warcraft or call of duty games and such. DS is sitting in front of pc screen all day long. Exaggeration, of cause, but still I think it’s not a good thing that he gets on the Internet the minute he gets home and it is interfering with his school work. I’m single mother who has a full time job, so I can’t control him 24 hours a day. Please advice if you have the same problem with your kid and manage to get rid your child from Internet addiction.
