Ok, I’m 21 years old. I look at porn occasionally. But, the only time I look at it is when my parents are away (now before you laugh at me for living with my parents, it is because the uni I go to is just down the road). I don’t buy porn magazines, the only time I look at it is when my parents are away. I have tried and tried to stop, I even prayed HEAPS to God (but nothing happened, and this irritated me heaps, considering there are so many people out there who claim that God “saved them”) I am now an agnostic largely because of this. So anyway, does this classify as a porn addiction? And how can I make it stop? I just feel depressed for a while afterwards. But the weird thing is I treat girls with respect, and not like an object… Sorry for the rant, thanks a lot!

When you masturbate, your brain releases a chemical called “dopamine”. Dopamine is indeed a drug to you. It makes you feel GREAT. Like you’re on extasy, Therefore, this can cause you to be addicted. I doubt people just watch porn without masturbating. So yes… you are addicted to porn/masturbation.
