How to Stop Addiction: My Husband Cheats All the Time, but I Still Love Him – What Should I Do?

Question by A B: My husband cheats all the time, but I still love him – what should I do?
I know that he has a “sex addiction”! He loves me very much and I have no doubt in that.We already went to see a marriage counselor, but he just can’t stop.He said himself that he needs attention, that he is longing for them and he confess that he has a problem but he also said that getting separated would be the best thing to do, cause he doesn’t want to hurt me any longer. I still love him so much and I just don’t want to believe that there is nothing we can do to get rid of this “problem”! Our sex life is great, so its not that I have a “headache” 6 days a week.I don’t want to give up our marriage, even if the trust is gone completely. In his heard he is a good person. He is my best friend. I know how he “can” be, so I just can’t let go!

Please, do not answer me with “leave his sorry ass” or whatsoever… I sure do understand those opinions, but this is not why Im posting here… I can’t talk to anyone about this, so you all are the ones I need help! Thank you.
most of all to miloo…. the reason I posted here is to talk to people – thats what this “yahoo answers” thing is here for, isnt it!
And no… Im not trying to find excuses… I just think that today everybody gets divorce about every thing that doesnt fit into their live.I said once in good and in worse and I meant it! and if there is something we can do to solve this problem, I wanna do it before I just leave. To leave is the easiest way out of everything, but it doesnt make anything better. Telling me I have no self respect is rude, you dont even know me. Yes, he treats me disrespectful, cause what he is doing is terrible, but throwing away people in a heartbeat cause they do something “disrespectful”… doesnt make yourself a better person. some people need help, like my husband, I would do EVERYTHING to helpt him!
That is what love is, what marriage means!
LIONESS… thank you for your post! It felt good reading it and knowing there is someone out there who doesnt just judge me!

I read a lot about sex addiction and yes, it has to be treaten like any other addiction. That is why I just cant go… I wouldnt either leave him if he would have a alcohol problem but stay with him and help him to go through, thats why I am still here.

Him admitting there is a problem is the first step I hope.

How To Stop Addiction: This Week In Trailers: Father’s Day, The Trip, Life 2.0, Monster Brawl, Point Blank, You’ve Been Trumped
Trailers are an under-appreciated art form insofar that many times they’re seen as vehicles for showing footage, explaining films away, or showing their hand about what moviegoers can expect. Foreign, domestic, independent, big budget: I celebrate all levels of trailers and hopefully this column will satisfactorily give you a baseline of what beta wave I’m operating on, because what better way …
